Song of the Day:  Girl Talk - No Pause

I’m SUPER late to the whole Girl Talk movement.  I’ve heard people talk about it for a couple years; I was even invited to a Girl Talk concert, but just wasn’t interested.  Girl talk is a lawsuit waiting to happen.  It’s basically just mash-up/remix music of popular songs.  And its AWESOME.  This song “No Pause” is from about 2 years ago, and from the album called Feed the Animals.  I don’t think this guy can legally make any money from his music (besides appearances; I did some research), so I encourage you to mediafire download this whole album.  Enjoy!

Song of the Day:  Uffie - ADD SUV feat. Pharrell

Uffie!  Oh, how I’ve missed her.  Her electro sound and style with Pharrell is the perfect match.  You’ll know what I’m talking about as soon as you push play.  ADD… We can all relate to this song a little bit, I’m sure.  “I feel like I’m in the movie Memento, but I don’t have a pen.”

Song of the Day:  Chicano Batman - Lembrancinha

My friend Sam recommended Chicano Batman to me a few weeks back and sent a me a couple of their songs… This one has really gotten to me.  It’s exactly what I want to listen to on a hot-as-hell Summer day: chill, smooth, relaxed music.  Plus, their album cover (above) is badass. Right?

Song of the Day:  Christina Aguilera - Prima Donna

Xtina Aguilera’s new album, Stripped Vol. 2 ”Bionic,” is not very good.  I’ve tried to like it, and I just can’t.  I can’t even figure out what the 3rd single should be, because it’s all pretty mediocre.  But “Prima Donna” is totally a stand-out track that could become a big dance-pop-club hit… not a Billboard Hot 100 kind of hit, but it could do well in other areas.  She sounds great, the song doesn’t sound recycled, and it will be a hot song to remix.  Love it!  Enjoy!

Song of the Day:  Katy Perry - Teenage Dream

“Teenage Dream” (Katy’s 2nd single off her 2nd album) was released today.  It was one of those moments when listening to a song where I instantly thought to myself, “I LOVE THIS!” It’s literally been on repeat the whole day for me.  This song is going to be huge for her - I can feel it.  If the monster “California Gurls” would have never existed, “Teenage Dream” would’ve made a great - and very successful - first single.  

This is totally a song to blare while driving in your car with the windows down - singing at the TOP OF YOUR LUNGS!!!

Song of the Day:  Florence + The Machine - Swimming

I know this sounds rather corny, but not since Kelly Clarkson’s “Since U Been Gone,” have I wanted to sing a song at the top of my lungs.  ”Swimming” is just so epic and powerful, it’s impossible to ignore.  

Released as a bonus track from Florence + The Machine’s album “Lungs,” I’m having a hard time believing it wasn’t tapped as a single.  Whatevs, it’s still great.  Enjoy!
